Please note that we have a strict policy on compulsory school sport and activities – that is, all students in Years 7 to 12 are required to attend all training and Saturday sessions in both the summer and winter seasons. In exceptional circumstances, students may be exempted from part or all of the program. These requests must be emailed to Paul Jepson.
The January period saw our senior rowers kick start their season with a successful week-long camp at Ballarat Grammar. We were grateful to the rowing staff that worked so hard to source an alternative venue after the unfortunate flooding at Nagambie Lakes.
The First XI Cricket Team enjoyed some close encounters with our Old Carey Men’s Team and a touring school from Wanganui College in New Zealand. They are well prepared for the rigours of the two-day season format beginning in Term 1.
Year 7 Trials Morning
Well done to the new Year 7s who had a great morning last Saturday at the Carey Sports Complex, Bulleen – the weather was perfect and the collective excitement around the complex was a joy to see – we can’t wait for our new Year 7s to play their opening fixture this Saturday 10 February and wish them all the best with their Carey Sport journey!
Sport Absences
If your child cannot make a session or match due to a legitimate reason, please email the relevant team manager prior to the event (list can be found on the sports Canvas page).
We look forward to your support of our Carey Sport and Activities program in 2024.
