<p>We will assign all applications to our waitlist according to your preference and our <a href="https://assets.carey.com.au/publications/Policies/Enrolment-Procedure-and-Policy-local-students_2023-12-22-003930_fdrd.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Enrolment Procedure and Policy for Local Students</a>. We will then send a letter acknowledging that we received your application.</p>

Formal offer process

<p>Offers for key entry levels normally commence around two-and-a-half years prior to the year of entry. For all other year levels, offers are generally made the year prior to entry when places become available.</p>
<p>At the commencement of the offer process, we may reach out to families who have children on the waitlist to confirm you are still interested in enrolling your child at Carey. When a place becomes available for your child, based on our priority for admission, we will send you a formal Letter of Offer.</p>
<p>Priority of admission to the School is as follows:</p>
<ol><li>to siblings* and children of permanent staff members</li><li>to children of Old Carey Grammarians who apply in the first year after the child’s birth</li><li>to children of other families who apply in the first year after the child’s birth</li><li>to children of Old Carey Grammarians who apply after their child turns twelve months of age</li><li>by date of application thereafter.</li></ol>
<p>Consideration is also given to the children of Baptist Ministers.</p>
<p><em>* Sibling priority not applied to children where the sibling is enrolled in ELC. Carey reserves the right to apply discretion for exceptional circumstances</em></p>

<p>Carey is an inclusive co-educational independent school. We invite you to apply to enrol at ELC, Junior School, Middle and Senior School.</p>

Donvale Transition Information

<p>In an exciting development taking place in 2028, all Junior School students will be based at our Kew campus. This significant decision to bring students from our Junior School Donvale and Kew campuses together will allow us to strengthen academic and wellbeing programs, align pastoral care and provide daily access to a broad range of specialist learning areas and co-curricular opportunities.</p><p>This is an exciting prospect for new families as we will continue to welcome any new applications for 2026 and 2027 entry to our Donvale campus, from three-year-old children to Year 6 students. Places will continue to be offered in line with our enrolment caps. Transfer of students to our Kew campus in 2028 is guaranteed.</p><p>We are excited about the future for Carey as we unify on one site.
