2022 Done and Dusted!
Another bumper year of Carey Sport and Activities came to a close on Saturday with our First Teams playing their final matches for the 2022 year in their respective summer sports. Special mention to our First XI Cricket Team who have had some close losses over recent weeks but bounced back in dominant fashion against Geelong College, scoring 6-307 to Geelong College 205.

Our senior rowing crews, under the tutelage of newly appointed Head of Rowing, Dick Bartlett, showed some terrific early season form at the annual Melbourne Head Regatta last week. Their 2022 campaign ends this week with the girls at Ballarat and the boys at Carrum – good luck to all crews!

2023 Sport/Activity Arrangements
Please note that summer sport/activity training commences in Week 1 of Term 1 for all students in Years 7 to 12 (Year 9/10 Tuesdays, Year 7/8 Wednesdays and Year 11/12 Thursdays). Year 7 students will have their trials morning at The Carey Sports Complex on Saturday 28 January.

Carey Student Josh Weddle Drafted to Hawthorn!
Congratulations to Josh Weddle (Year 12 2022) who was drafted on Monday to the Hawthorn Football Club at pick 19 in the national AFL draft. Josh had a brilliant year playing for the Carey First Boys XVIII in 2022 and we wish him well for his AFL future journey!
