Term 2 at Carey has been busy and exciting, with substantial development and enriching activities. As we conclude this term, we reflect on the diverse events and experiences from the past months.
Carey prides itself on fostering student growth in confidence, creativity, collaboration and resilience – crucial attributes in today's world. Highlights include the whole-school Poetry Evening, teamwork during APS Winter Sport, spirited House Public Speaking and Debating competitions in the Senior School, and joyful House Music events in the Middle School.
Outside the classroom, students participated in immersive and memorable experiences. Year 10 students faced personal growth challenges in the Zero Program (feature image), Year 5 explored historical perspectives at Sovereign Hill, and Year 6 enjoyed adventure and independence at the Toonallook Camps. Middle School students shone brightly in The Little Mermaid production, while others gained cultural insights through the trip to Robinson River.
These programs exemplify our commitment to holistic education, encouraging students to explore new interests, challenge themselves and establish meaningful connections with peers. These experiences shape individuals who are academically adept and emotionally and socially prepared for future endeavours.
We extend gratitude to our staff, families and students for their dedication and enthusiasm. We wish everyone a safe and restful three-week holiday and look forward to another term of growth and discovery.
