Our students continue to achieve remarkable success and we are proud of the way they represent our school with enthusiasm, character and determination. Equally important is the way they support one another, celebrate each other’s successes and contribute to a culture of belonging, aspiration and growth. We congratulate all students on their achievements and thank the staff, families and mentors who help make these successes possible.
A personal focus this term has been celebrating the everyday moments that often go unseen: students supporting one another, staff going above and beyond, parents volunteering their time and community members working together to create an environment where everyone can thrive. These acts of kindness, care and collaboration are what make our community exceptional. Our renewed focus on uniform and punctuality
I would also like to acknowledge the many staff who have supported our renewed focus on uniform, punctuality and high expectations. It has been encouraging to see colleagues volunteering their time, working alongside one another and engaging students in positive conversations that reinforce our shared commitment to creating a culture where every student can thrive. Exciting news about the Complex Competencies
Our Melbourne Metrics partners at the University of Melbourne have confirmed that VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre) and UAC (University Admissions Centre) will allow students to use the Australian Learner Competency Credential (or ALCC, a New Metrics learner profile) as additional evidence in their applications. We are excited to see the impact of our Research and Innovation Team paying off for our graduates.
A community of partnership and engagement
As we continue to shape the future of our secondary school, I would like to offer my sincerest gratitude to all students, staff and families for the supportive and thoughtful engagements in consultation processes throughout the year. The level of participation in surveys, focus groups, information evenings and individual conversations has been remarkable and reflects a community that cares deeply about both the present and future of our school. The willingness of people to share ideas, ask questions and contribute constructively has strengthened our decision-making and reinforced the value of genuine partnership.
