One of the consistent messages we hear from across our community is the importance of clarity, connection and coherence in how we communicate and work together with our families. As a school, we continue to reflect on how our systems and processes can better support the way students learn, staff work and families engage with Carey, seeking support and guidance from experts along the way.

Our school has been progressing work on a long‑term, modernised digital platform for our students, staff, families and communities, known as Carey Connect. This work is focussed on bringing together our digital systems over time, enabling more personalised experiences, easier access to the right information at the right time and a more seamless digital experience for students, staff and families.

An important first step in preparing for Carey Connect has been the development of a new school management system, MyCarey – Central. In Term 4 2025, this platform was launched for teachers, and in Term 1 this year, students began accessing important information about their program, including timetables, sporting fixtures and co‑curricular commitments, all in one place.

In Term 2, we look forward to welcoming parents into MyCarey – Central as the next stage of this work continues. As part of this initial phase of parent access, and as a foundation for Carey Connect, MyCarey – Central will become an increasingly important digital point of connection between families and our school.

Later this term, we will share further information about the timing and next steps for the planned rollout of MyCarey – Central for parents. This information will be provided in writing and will outline the range of support available, including both online and face‑to‑face opportunities for parents to learn more and prepare for this transition.

This work represents an important stage in a broader, carefully sequenced transition towards Carey Connect as a single, integrated digital environment. Bringing parents into MyCarey – Central is a key step in this journey, with a strong focus on improving how families connect with information about their child’s Carey program and experience. Over time, these changes will contribute to a more connected and consistent experience for all members of the Carey community.
