Carey is one of Australia’s leading co-educational schools with a strong history of academic excellence and high achievement. We accept international student applications for entry to Senior School (Years 10–12) and provide an inclusive, caring and supportive environment.

At Carey we work with a range of International Education Agents and we are a member of the Melbourne Schools Partnership International with the University of Melbourne.

Student Requirements

International students must meet certain requirements to study at Carey including a valid and current visa.

Steps to apply at Carey

If you would like to apply to enrol at Carey as an international student, you must first provide:

    Completed and signed Application Form
  2. 2
    Copy of the student’s passport
  3. 3
    Copy of the student’s current school report
  4. 4
    The student’s AEAS English language test results
  5. 5
    Relevant supporting documentation, including medical information

Student Support

Carey has an extensive network of support for international students, including a student Mentor, Head of House, Head of Student Welfare and Local Support Person. Registered psychologists also support students throughout their time at Carey.

Carey Local and Overseas Students Association (CLOSA) is a dedicated group that helps international students to settle into Carey through a range of social connection activities.

ESOS legislative framework

The Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, or ESOS Act, establishes legislative requirements and standards for the quality assurance of education and training institutions offering courses to international students who are in Australia on a student visa. ESOS also provides tuition fee protection for international students.
