Our focus on wellbeing is incorporated into each aspect of the educational journey at Carey. Within the curriculum, 1.5 hours is devoted in our timetable to House time each week. This time allows a period of reflection, enabling students to fully engage with their learning and in turn developing lifelong learners who will create positive change. Part of this time is used to deliver a wellbeing curriculum constructed by House staff and specialists, based on developmentally appropriate topics.
This wellbeing curriculum is built around the Carey Positive Learner Attributes. These attributes serve as a focus point for all mentors, regardless of the age of the student.
