At Carey Baptist Grammar School, the learning journey extends
far beyond the classroom. We are committed to developing
well-rounded, independent young people with real-world
experiences, strong relationships and the skills they need to thrive.

At Carey, we are committed to:

Wellbeing

We have a balanced approach

Student wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at Carey. We believe this is maintained through balancing core learning with personal development and support.

Wellbeing is fully integrated into the learning journey, including active pastoral care, easily accessible student development support and a team of qualified mental health professionals available for students.

Our educational philosophy

Co-curricular opportunities

We offer a broad range of experiences

Learning takes place outside the classroom as well. Students gain skills in leadership on Outdoor Education experiences, teamwork through their weekly sport or music ensembles, and empathy through community service.

Providing real-world learning opportunities is necessary for developing well-rounded young people.

Inclusivity

We embrace individuality and diversity

We are a proudly inclusive community. Enabled and driven by co-education, we respect, celebrate and nurture individual, cultural and societal diversity.

We recognise that individuals are unique and positively acknowledge and affirm the oneness and equality of humankind in all its dimensions.

Our vision and values

Connection

We are an engaged community

Carey and its community are inseparably linked. All students benefit from the breadth of opportunities offered by our large, connected and supportive community, and the relationships they develop with teachers, peers and alumni.

Our community bands together in times of need and times of celebration, providing a deep sense of belonging, understanding and wellbeing.
