When one door closes, another door opens

‘When one door closes, another door opens.’

This saying couldn’t be truer for the Class of 2019. As our newest alumni head off into the big wide world, they automatically become members of the Old Carey Grammarians Association (OCGA). Being a member of the Old Carey community can open doors for many of our younger alumni who are seeking to broaden their horizons through valuable social and professional connections.

Since 1925, the OCGA has devoted their efforts to ensuring that its members benefit both professionally and socially from all that the rich and diverse Carey community has to offer. Certainly, Old Grammarians love their school and many hold onto fond memories and friendships formed during their time here.

The OCGA provides opportunities to hold on to those friendships and memories, while also facilitating connections with others who may not have known each other at school. The common bond of a Carey education affords an opportunity to connect.

Aside from reunions, we offer a broad range of activities, whether it be joining an Old Carey sporting or performing arts club (Hockey, Soccer, Football, Cricket, Cross Country, Lawn Bowls), Young Alumni Social Group, or participating in events such as career networking and professional development.

The OCGA are proud to support the connections and friendships of our nearly 19,000 members. We also encourage everyone to stay in touch through Facebook and LinkedIn. More importantly, to ensure you don’t miss out on an event or reunion invitation, make sure to keep your contact details up-to-date through the OCGA website.

The OCGA recently held a breakfast to welcome our newest members. We wish the Class of 2019 all the best for their exams and look forward to connecting with them all in the coming years.
