The APS Winter Season is in full swing and our Carey teams have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season – our First Boys and First Girls Soccer Teams sit on top of the APS ladder, as do our First Girls Hockey and First Netball teams. A reminder to all families that sport is compulsory and all students are required to attend ALL training sessions and Saturday matches.

NAB League Premiers
Congratulations to Year 11s Caitlin and Mia and Year 12 student Brooke (pictured above) who were a part of the Under-18 Oakleigh Chargers NAB League who won Women’s Football Grand Final on the weekend. This is the best standard junior women’s AFL competition in Australia – a fine performance from our girls!

Fencing Success!
Year 7 student Annabel joined Donna in Year 8 and Katy in Year 10 (below) at the Fencing School League – Team category last weekend, an event organised by Fencing Victoria. Our team won the Gold Medal!

We are so proud of the girls’ group effort representing Carey!

Netball Champions
Congratulations to Saachi in Year 11 who has been selected in the 17 and Under Victorian State Netball Team and Tiahnee in Year 12 who has been chosen for the 19 and Under Victorian State Netball Development Squad (below).

Saachi will play in Australian National Netball Championships in Hobart in July and we wish her well as she prepares for this.
