The breakfast menu featured an array of delicious options that catered to all tastes and preferences. Pancakes, a favourite among the children, were served alongside egg and bacon muffins, yogurt and fruit cups, chocolate milk, juice, tea and coffee. The variety ensured that everyone found something to enjoy.
We extend our thanks to our speakers for the morning. Jake, one of the Junior School – Kew campus Captains, offered a warm welcome to all attendees, expressing gratitude and lovely thoughts about his own mum. Carey’s Lead Chaplain, Tim Edwards, graciously performed the blessing, setting a positive tone for the morning. Special thanks are also extended to Kylie Baxter for her encouraging words and personal reflections.
The co-ordinators and event hosts, the Junior School Parents Association Kew (JSPAK) created beautiful table decorations and provided activity sheets which added a charming touch to the breakfast atmosphere. The Kahoot! Quiz was, once again, the main highlight of the morning, bringing laughter and excitement despite a few technical hitches with the images.
Mothers thoroughly enjoyed the event, engaging in lively chatter and conversations that fostered a sense of community and connection. Fiona Sexton Photography, one of our Carey parents and talented photographer, captured the essence of the morning with gorgeous pictures of parents with their children that will be cherished for years to come. Thank you.
The 2025 Junior School – Kew campus Mothers Day Breakfast
Thank you also to the parent volunteers who always go above and beyond to host events like this. Your time and effort are always much appreciated. Thank you.
This event involves many departments at Carey, and we’d like to thank the Tech Services support team, Maintenance crew, Catering team, Community Engagement and School Leadership Team for their continued support with the early breakfast events.
It was an early start to the day for Junior School, but the warmth and joy shared during the Mothers Day Breakfast made it all worthwhile. The event showcased the school community’s commitment to celebrating and honouring mothers, creating lasting memories for all who attended.
