Book week at Donvale campus has been a splendid time! Every day the library sent out puzzles, riddles and games for everyone to participate in. Friday held the highly anticipated dress up day. Students attended class as their favourite book characters and, at lunchtime, were invited to pose at the library’s photobooth or join the scavenger hunt. At the end of the day the Book Week parade took place. Students went around the court, giving their fellow schoolmates a high-five whilst proudly showcasing their awesome costumes, some even handmade. To close the tradition, Donvale educators came together in their group costume to reenact the beloved story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

What a wonderful Book Week we have celebrated with this year's theme, Symphony of Stories! The week was filled with excitement, including library activities such as badge making, Just Dance and bag decorating. Our mystery readers added to the fun, and students particularly enjoyed hearing our Leadership Team share a couple of their favourite books and their love of reading.
Throughout the last few weeks, students have explored a range of CBCA books, voted for their favourite story, and then used it as inspiration for their clay creations. Our vibrant Book Week Parade was a highlight. Thank you to our parents and carers for the incredible effort you put into costumes for the parade, helping to create a truly memorable experience. The students had a marvellous time celebrating stories, using their imaginations and sharing the joy of reading together.
