Being part of Carey extends far beyond a student’s time at school – finding ways to engage with the broader Carey network (parents, alumni, past parents, staff and neighbours) is one of the lifelong benefits of our community. I encourage you to explore the opportunities below and put your hand up for at least one. Your involvement makes a real difference!
Alumni Internship Program – hosts wanted!
Carey is launching an Alumni Internship Program in 2025, connecting young alumni with businesses in the Carey community for valuable work experience.
We’re calling on Carey community organisations to host an intern, providing fresh talent while strengthening our community connections. If you’re interested in getting involved as a host or an intern, we’d love to hear from you!
Share your journey – speak at Carey events
We are seeking guest speakers for 2025 school events, including Careers Days, Leadership Seminars and Industry Panels, where you can share your professional experiences and insights with our students.
In addition, we are looking to expand our speaker opportunities to include workshops, leadership sessions, networking events and business seminars for the wider Carey community. These events will provide opportunities for professionals, alumni and parents to connect, upskill and engage in meaningful discussions on leadership, industry trends and career growth. Whether you’re an expert in your field, an entrepreneur or a leader with valuable insights to share, we’d love to have you involved. Your contribution can inspire students, empower professionals and strengthen the Carey community.
Year 7 Enterprise Program – real-world problem-solving
Does your organisation have a challenge that our students could help solve? We invite you to take part in our Year 7 Enterprise Program this June – a hands-on learning experience where students develop innovative solutions for real-world business challenges while addressing one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
How it works:
We are looking for ten organisations to participate – each challenge will be tackled by one of our class groups. If you’re interested in inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers and social entrepreneurs, we’d love to hear from you! Please submit your business challenge by Friday 4 April.
If there are other ways you’d like to support Carey students, alumni or the School community, I’d love to discuss them with you. Please feel free to reach out via email (communityengagement@carey.com.au).
