Fun at the JSPA Welcome Carnival

The sun shone down for the annual JSPA Welcome Carnival on Friday 21 February, an evening of family fun, activities and tasty food. The Welcome Carnival is the JSPA’s signature event and is designed to welcome new families to the Carey Junior School community, as well as to provide a relaxed, happy environment in which families can connect, reflect on the year gone and start the new year afresh. We are grateful for the generous support of the School Leadership Team and their allocation of Swap Shop funds, which allows us to continue to host this fantastic event for free to our community.

Thank you to the Welcome Carnival Subcommittee, JSPA Committee, Class Reps, Parent Volunteers, Carey Maintenance Team and many members of the Junior School staff who all contributed to the success of this event. Special thanks to our over 30 Middle and Senior School student volunteers, who provided great support to welcome guests, run stalls and photograph the event. As well as welcoming our Junior School families, this event also provides our older students with an opportunity to give back and reflect on their time in the Junior School, rekindle connections with students and buddies from previous years and make new connections with families.

It was great to see so many new and current families attend the Welcome Carnival this year and we look forward to building on the success of this event in 2021.
