Generations of support for Carey sport

Carey has a long and deep tradition of the community and school working and giving together to support the construction of exceptional sporting, recreation and wellbeing facilities. Almost every major sporting facility has benefitted from this collaboration, going right back to Sandell Oval in 1923.

The foundation of Carey: generosity of spirit and belief

Carey’s centenary historian, Helen Penrose, has aptly noted that ‘the close-knit Carey community was founded on generosity of spirit and belief in the cause’. This tradition of giving to current and future generations of Carey students has played a key role in our school’s success and growth throughout the decades since.
