The following conditions apply to all scholarships at Carey:
1. Your family agrees to fully abide by the rules and conditions at Carey as specified.
2. The scholarship recipient will act as a role model at all times, including when she/he is representing Carey.
3. The scholarship recipient will use his/her talents to the best of her/his ability and will provide support and encouragement to other Carey students.
4. A student may be the recipient of only one scholarship agreement. The scholarship supersedes any sibling discounts or special privileges.
5. The scholarship recipient will not apply for scholarships at any other school. Should the scholarship recipient leave Carey on that basis, you agree to pay Carey back all money provided to you by this scholarship.
6. The scholarship recipient will complete a full commitment to the summer and winter sport program, as well as the spring season (athletics or water polo).
7. The scholarship recipient, in his/her chosen sport, will be available wherever possible for Carey fixtures and training commitments. An exemption may be made for State and National representative matches. This exemption will be assessed by the Head of Sport on a case by case basis.
8. In the event the scholarship recipient suffers an extended injury or illness whereby he/she cannot participate in a full capacity, where possible the School expects the scholarship recipient to volunteer his/her services in a coaching and/or mentoring capacity in the Carey sports program.
9. The scholarship recipient is expected to maintain a high level of commitment to the whole school program. This includes: school attendance, being a positive influence in all classes, completion of work, excellent citizenship, wearing the uniform correctly, attendance at school functions, active contribution to the co-curricular house and voluntary school activities and doing her/his best at all times.
10. The Head of School and the Head of Sport will review the scholarship recipient’s award on an annual basis. Should these conditions not be maintained, the School reserves the right to discontinue the award, or vary its provisions, giving not less than one month’s notice, in line with the School’s Conditions of Enrolment.
