When and how do I apply for an Academic Scholarship?
Students undertake the Scholarship test in the February prior to their proposed year of entry e.g. in the February of Year 6 for Year 7 entry. Registration for all scholarships is available on-line from mid November to early February in the year prior to entry.
How much does it cost to register for an Academic Scholarship?
The registration fee for 2018 scholarship applications is $85.00. Late applications will incur a late fee rate of $235.00 ($85.00 plus $150.00 late fee). Parents requesting the supplementary sitting service will incur a $130.00 fee in addition to the standard registration fee.
After completing the online application form, are there any other documents that are required as part of the application process?
In addition to the online application, all applicants must also send a copy of their latest school report to the Admissions Office at Carey. We also request a copy of Year 9 NAPLAN results for all applicants for Year 11 2018. Please send reports to:

My child is unable to attend the testing day in February. Can they sit the test elsewhere?
If you child was unable to attend the testing at Carey, you will need to contact Edutest on: 9014 1411 to discuss alternative options.
Will I receive my child’s test result at the completion of the process?
A copy of your child’s test results will be sent to you at the completion of the process.
When will I be informed whether my child has been successful?
It is expected all applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application (including test results) by the end of February 2017. However the timing of notification can sometimes vary.
My child was unsuccessful in gaining a Scholarship, can they apply again in the future?
Yes, provided they will be entering Year 7, Year 10 or Year 11.
