Train

The Kew campus is a short walk from Auburn Railway Station on the Belgrave, Lilydale and Alamein train lines. Please note that many express trains do not stop at Auburn Station.

Tram

There are three tram routes within a short walking distance from the Kew campus.

Route 72 travels between Kew and the University of Melbourne in Carlton, travelling through Kew and Hawthorn along Burke Road. The closest stop to Carey Kew is Number 69 at the corner of Sackville Street and Burke Road. 

Route 16 travels between Kew and the University of Melbourne in Carlton via St Kilda, travelling the length of Glenferrie Road through Kew, Hawthorn and Malvern. The closest stop to Carey Kew is Number 77 at the corner of Glenferrie and Barkers roads.

Route 109 travels between Box Hill and Port Melbourne, travelling through the CBD, Richmond and along Cotham/Whitehorse Road. The closest stop to Carey is Number 39 at the corner of Thomas Street and Cotham Road.

Bus

There are two main public bus routes within a short walking distance of Carey Kew.

Route 624 travels between Kew and Oakleigh through Hawthorn and Caulfield, with stops adjoining the Carey campus in Wrixon Street.

Route 548 travels between La Trobe University through Ivanhoe and terminates near Carey on Cotham Road.
