It has been wonderful to witness the joy on the faces of students and teachers alike as we welcomed back all classes to onsite learning. The students have seamlessly transitioned back to school with energy and remarkable adaptability. The staff have noticed an increase in independence, an enthusiasm for learning and a number of obvious growth spurts amongst our students!

As you are aware online pastoral conferences with parents have taken place this term therefore the traditional student-free day on Friday 26 June is now a normal school day where all children will attend school.

Extension to Timely Feedback and reporting package
Following the successful trial of Timely Feedback in Year 3 last year and given the extraordinary circumstances of parts of Term 1 and Term 2 this year, we have extended our Timely Feedback and reporting to include Prep to Year 6. The package includes:

  • Online Parent/Teacher conference
  • End of Semester Pastoral Care Report and Positive Learner Attribute Student reflection
  • A Student Achievement Summary – This would usually be provided at the same time as the pastoral care comment however due to the unusual circumstances it will be delivered in Week 4 Term 3 and end of Semester 2
  • The Canvas Timely Feedback provided by teachers

Timely Feedback
The timely feedback provided by teachers focusses on giving students the opportunity to identify their current knowledge and skills in key learning areas (English, Mathematics, Integrated Studies, Art, Chinese, Music and PE), as well as the development of future learning goals. The timely feedback also provides opportunities for students to reflect on and develop their positive learner attribute profile in connection to these tasks and experiences.

The Student Achievement Summary
The student achievement summary is closely related to the timely feedback you have received through Canvas on your child’s individual tasks.

The Positive Learner Attributes
Using the scope and sequence continua, students reflect on their growth in attributes from the three domains: Relationships, Self Management and Thinking.

We are excited to expedite this package across the whole school and look forward to sharing with you a rich and varied source of information about your child’s progress.
