Carey welcomes and values the presence of students from 31 countries, many of whom are unaccompanied by their family.

Our Home Stay Co-ordinator visits Home Stay accommodation to ensure it is safe and comfortable, and closely monitors the welfare of the students. The Home Stay Co-ordinator also helps international students find suitable families to live with during their studies. The Home Stay Co-ordinator can be contacted on +61 3 9816 1466 (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

CLOSA (Carey Local and Overseas Students Association) is a student devised and managed initiative that expresses the warmth of the relationship between these culturally diverse parts of the student body. CLOSA helps students from all cultures, backgrounds and faith traditions form friendships and feel a sense of belonging at Carey. CLOSA will help these parent settle in to Melbourne, with social functions and pastoral support to help them belong to the Carey community.
