This week during their CARE classes, all Year 7 and 8 students will receive a blue 'Hope' bag to take home. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to give to other families that are in need this winter.

Students are encouraged to bring their bag filled with non-perishable food items back to their CARE class during Week 2 – all bags need to be returned on or before Friday 30 April.

We suggest providing at least one meal for a family for four, for example: A packet of pasta, a bottle of pasta sauce, a tin of fruit, a UHT custard and a packet of biscuits.

If you decide to keep the bag instead, we ask that you make a $1.00 donation as this is what the bag costs the church that has provided them for us.

COVID-19 has increased the number of people in need of food and limited the organisation’s capacity to provide because their normal avenues of collection are not COVID safe.

We are hopeful that our Carey community will be able to help fill the shelves of the local Camcare and Wesley Mission food banks so that they can continue to provide this valuable service.

Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
