Product Design and Technology - Resistant Materials Teacher

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and motivated professionals for the fixed-term, part time (0.4FTE) position of Product Design Technology Teacher (Resistant Materials) based at our Kew campus.

Purpose of Role

Carey Baptist Grammar School is looking for a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated professional Teacher to work within the schools Art and Design - Product Design and Technology Department.

The role of Art and Design in the curriculum and the contribution it makes to a student's educational growth is valuable and unique.

Carey's Art and Design program covers a variety of two and three-dimensional experiences designed to support and enhance student learning. Product Design and Technology is one of a wide range of Art and Design subjects students can elect.

Carey seeks a qualified, creative and Innovative Product Design and Technology Teacher with:

  • Current VIT registration
  • Knowledge and experience in teaching across Years 7 - 10 Product Design and Technology 
  • A background in resistant materials, specialising in wood and metal
  • Certification in The Safe Use of Machinery
  • Understanding of Adobe software and 3D modelling software would be advantageous
