Learning Development Coordinator - Junior School Kew
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and motivated professionals for the position of Learning Development Coordinator at our Junior School Kew campus commencing Term 1, 2020.
Purpose of Role
The Junior School Learning Development Coordinator is responsible, through the Head of Student Development for co-ordinating a targeted and supportive learning program with teachers for students identified with additional learning needs across the Junior School and Early Learning Centre. This position liaises with the Junior School Deputy Heads of Student Learning, Student Wellbeing and the Head of School.
This position involves a teaching component and responsibility for the management of the Junior School Learning Development teaching staff and Integration Aides; as well as liaising with external specialists such as Psychologists and Speech Pathologists. The role also requires organisation of Group Support meetings and funding applications when required.

- Member of Junior School Pastoral Care Group
Skills & Knowledge
- Current best practice in additional needs student learning
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Digital literacy
Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) is a requirement of employment for this position.
