Carey Community Forum Presents: Scott Haywood

‘Kickstart your kids into positive money habits!’

The Carey Community Forum invites all parents and staff to our next exciting event. On Wednesday 29 May, kickstart your kids into positive money habits with an information evening with media financial advisor Scott Haywood.

Do your children know where money comes from? Do they think it grows on trees?!

The Finance Guru will discuss how to teach children where money comes from, the art of saving, how bank branches work, learning to budget and how kids can earn their own money rather than relying on handouts.

‘Early exposure leads to a better financial understanding and a future of savings,’ Scott says.

Scott’s 12-year-old son has set up and operated three businesses – including one which has grossed nearly $1500 since September 2018, none of which came from family members! Scott is happy to share those tips, and explain how his son became engaged with earning money at such a young age.

Scott has been a self-employed financial advisor for 21 years. He started the Finance Guru in 2009 to encourage children to learn about money but it ended up becoming a media nickname. He is a regular media commentator on radio and TV. You can read more about Scott on his website.

See the event poster for more details, and book your ticket to this unmissable session here. At $15, it’s a worthwhile investment! Please note this is a parent-only event.
