Our Carey Stories

Founded in 1923, Carey is a co-educational, independent, Christian school with approximately 2500 students from Early Learning to Year 12.

Carey is an inclusive community that celebrates diversity and nurtures the unique talents and growth of each individual. At Carey, we work in partnership with families to develop wise, independent and motivated young people who are inspired and equipped to create positive change in our rapidly changing local, national and global communities.

We are progressive and aspirational. We challenge our students to embrace the broad range of opportunities provided by the School. We build on their individual qualities to develop young women and men who flourish and can lead and serve with courage, compassion and intelligence.

As a Christian school, we are an inclusive community that celebrates diversity and nurtures the unique talents and growth of each student and member of staff. Our commitment to social justice is embedded in our culture and reflects our Baptist values. At Carey we promote global harmony and sustainability, developing our students’ intercultural and international understandings.

Our co-educational environment provides the best preparation for our students to fulfil their potential individually and as part of the wider communities in which they live and serve. Carey is a positive and engaged community made up of our students, families, staff, alumni and friends whose connections extend far beyond the classroom.

Together we are one – inspired by and dedicated to our shared responsibility for shaping the citizens of tomorrow.

We are Carey. We thrive together.
