History is not just the story of dates; a real life historian is a detective. Year 7 students will learn about history and acquire the skills of an historian, become an archaeologist and weigh up the evidence. They will source information from the internet and the library to develop some of these historical skills.
Students develop research, interpretation and analysis skills and use them to find out more about the Ancient World. These newly acquired historical skills will be applied to an individual study of one from a range Ancient Civilizations including: Egypt, Greece, Rome, India or Australasia.
Investigating a variety of key themes associated with numerous ancient civilisations and making connections, will culminate in Year 7 Ancient Day.
