The Pink Ribbon Breakfast
this week enabled a broad cross section of the Carey community to
support our Breast Cancer Research fundraising effort. We were touched
by the story of Elissa Macleod (2002) as she recounted her breast
cancer challenges. We were stirred by the brave approach she has
taken to her situation and in awe that she has been able to continue
her tertiary studies and professional netball career despite this
setback. Elissa is a courageous young woman and a wonderful role
model.
With pleasure we announce the Music Captains for 2009. Victoria
Garwood and Patrick O’Bryan are Captains with Jacob Curtis
and Sarah Wallace as Vice Captains. We look forward to their leadership
and musicianship in these roles next year.
