A Christian Co-educational International School

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care has a very high priority at Carey and we have structured the School to ensure that no student is overlooked.

Our Student Services Department is available to provide support when necessary to all Carey’s students and staff. Classroom teachers in the Junior Schools and Mentors in Middle and Senior Schools within a House system have an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with the students in their care and their families. When necessary, students may seek additional support from the Chaplains, psychologists, nurses and advisors comprising the pastoral care network at Carey.

Throughout the School students are encouraged to be considerate of the needs of one another and to show respect and consideration for one another. A number of policies and activities are in place to provide a secure, safe environment for our students. Workshops and information nights devoted to particular topics, such as use of the Internet, study techniques or information technology, are organised by our Student Services Department and Parents Associations. Policies relating to sun protection, drugs, bullying and mandatory reporting are published internally for reference by all members of the School’s staff
