Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships

Senior School cross country runners competed in the Victorian All
Schools Cross Country Championships at Bundoora Park on Saturday 26th
July. Amanda Paulin, girls’ cross country captain, is now Victorian
State Champion, winning the U20 age group by 11 seconds from the second
placed athlete.
The U17 girls team, made up of Laura Constable, Emily Paulin, Amy Carrig and Ellie Rose are also State Champions, winning the team event by 41 points from second placed Ruyton Girls School. Other impressive performances came from Michelle Mathews who finished 8th in the U18 age group, and Chris Wallace, our boys’ cross country captain, who finished 36th in a tough U20 field. Some of these athletes will now be considered to represent Victoria at the upcoming Australian Cross Country Championships in Geelong on Saturday 23rd August. Congratulations to all runners who competed last week and good luck for the final APS race on Saturday.
