Phil De Young, B.Ec, B.Ed, Grad Dip FP,
has been Principal of Carey since January 2002.

Phil De Young came to Carey in 2002, bringing to the School
extensive experience in education at Mentone Grammar, at his own old school, Wesley College
where he was Head of Senior School, Prahran, and as Deputy Principal and Head
of Campus at Caulfield Grammar’s Caulfield campus.
Immediately prior to taking up the appointment as Carey’s
Principal, Phil was working in the financial services industry, and his sound
understanding of financial management in schools has proved to be an additional
asset in his leadership of the Carey community.
